A STEP IN THE INEVITABLE

1st day of my history class
oh dear! I was amazed,
so much renewal has been done
for us to emanate in haze.

Mammals came the first,
then primates wiped them out.
Apes emerged as warriors,
to give way for homo’s crowd.

There were many in the lane,
erect, upright, tool maker,
then us with the brain.

The nature turned their tables
of whom we read the fables.
Soil was spoilt and spent,
to bury them and resent.

Now here we are,
with repercussions at par.
Thinking we are the best,
Unwelcoming the better guest.

Soon we will surrender
to nature’s law of hinder
Another species will come true.
So, was our existence a Breakthrough?
